Your daily skin care routine is all about washing, exfoliating and moisturising your face. Perfecting these three steps plus living a healthy lifestyle with get you the skin of your dreams.  Try using as naturally based products as possible.

Cleansing your face

If you wear makeup, the first thing to do is to remove it with an oil based product.  This can be done with an oil based product.  Cleansing your face with a liquid cleanser is recommended.  First place a warm face cloth over your face for up to a minute.  This will open your pores for cleansing.  With wet hands and a few drops of the cleanser, apply, concentrating on the t-zone for up to a minute.  Clean it off with a warm face cloth.  This opens your pours up for the next step.

Exfoliating

As you age, exfoliating is even more important for that rich, radiant and glowing skin.  Exfoliating will help get rid of those loosen those stubborn dead cells.  It is important not to over exfoliate and to do this 2-3 times per week.

Moisturising

Now that you skin is clean and smooth, it is time to add and lock in some moisture. Always apply the moisturiser in an upward motion all over the face.  Don’t forget your cheeks. In the summer times, it is best to moisturise with an SPF moisturiser.

Lifestyle

What you eat and drink will make a huge difference to the health and radiance of your skin.  Eating whole, fresh foods and exercising will keep your skin glowing.

Foods to include

  • Poultry
  • Vegetables
  • Fruit
  • Legume
  • Healthy fats such as olive oil, avocado and fish
  • Water (this includes herbal teas)
  • Meat
  • Dairy products
  • Eggs

Foods to eliminate or eat less

  • Processed foods
  • Foods high in sugar
  • Foods high in unhealthy fats such as trans fats
