Study nutrition online

Study through the NTA is structured as a one-year distance education program.

The course requires 15-20 hours of intensive study per week through viewing and listening to pre-recorded lectures, required reading, written assignments and online classes. You'll be required to attend three in-person weekend workshops to learn functional evaluation techniques.

Foundational Nutrition Education Prerequisites

The Nutritional Therapy Practitioner™ (NTP) course is suitable for both non-professionals with an active interest in nutrition as well as practicing professionals.

The only prerequisite is a high school education.

Students must have access to high-speed internet and be comfortable working in an online environment, as a majority of the coursework will be done online.

You must also be able to attend the three workshop weekends held throughout the course year. Dates are listed below.

Functional Evaluations are one of the Nutritional Therapist's tools for assessing their client's health. Using the innate connection between the nerve endings at skin level and the body's internal organs, NTP's can determine where dysfunction is occurring.

Foundational Nutrition EducationCurriculum

Anatomy and physiology are an essential part of the NTA curriculum. The Nutritional Therapy Practitioner course modules cover:

• the foundations of good health and basics of nutrition

• digestion, blood sugar regulation and fatty acids

• minerals, hydration, endocrine system

• immune system and allergies, cardiovascular system

• sports nutrition, fertility, supplementation and detoxification

• working with clients, functional evaluations and business basics

What can I do with my NTP Certification?

Our 4000+ graduates have changed the lives of millions of people.

Some use their certification to start a business as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner or use it to enhance their current licensure. NTPs will often work alongside a medical doctor or licensed practitioner, providing the support that time-poor practitioners would like to be able to give to their patients.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Certification

Online training commencing September  2019 and ending June 2020

Attendance is mandatory at all three workshops. Students can miss a maximum of 1 workshop day (8 hours), but the absence must be approved ahead of time by the Lead Instructor. If more than 1 day is missed, students must make up the seat hours in order to complete the course and receive NTP certification.

Registration
