Study for a Diploma of Functional Nutritional Therapy online

Study through the NTA is structured as a full one year Diploma of Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program.

The diploma requires 20-25 hours of intensive study per week through viewing pre-recorded lectures, required reading, written assignments and live instructor led online classes. You'll be required to attend three in-person weekend workshops to learn the Functional Clinical Assessment.

We have three cohorts commencing each year.

Foundational Nutrition Education Prerequisites

The Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner™ (FNTP) Diploma is suitable for both non-professionals with an active interest in nutrition as well as practicing professionals.

The only prerequisite is a high school education.

Students must have access to high-speed internet and be comfortable working in an online environment, as a majority of the coursework will be done online.

You must also be able to attend the three workshop weekends held throughout the course year, either in-person, virtually or regionallly.

Functional Clinical Assessment and Lingual Neural Testing are the Functional Nutritional Therapist's tools for assessing their client's health. Using the innate connection between the nerve endings at skin level and the body's internal organs, FNTP's can determine where dysfunction is occurring.

What can I do with my FNTP Diploma?

Our 8,400+ graduates have transformed the lives of millions.

Many utilize their FNTP Diploma to launch a business as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner or to enhance their existing licensure.

FNTPs often collaborate with medical doctors or licensed practitioners, offering the support that busy practitioners wish they could provide to their patients.

The role of FNTPs is becoming increasingly important across various fields, including medical, chiropractic, dental and optical practices. Some graduates apply their knowledge quietly to prevent diseases in themselves and their families, while others have embarked on personal health journeys to better manage their conditions.

Upcoming Classes

We offer three cohort cycles per calendar year.  Cohorts commence in February, May and September yearly.  View upcoming class dates here.

Finance Options

The Functional Nutritional Therapy Practioner Diploma fee is $14,444.00 AUD not including books, testing tools and any travel and accommodation required for workshops.

Payment Plans

NTA AU/NZ offers two payment plan options to all students registering for the FNTP Diploma program.

Payment plans allow the student to spread the cost of the program over either six months (first half of the program), or 12 months (full program). Payment plans incur a one off establishment fee to set up, but there is no increase in the cost of the program when opting for a payment plan.

Payment plans may be customised to spread payments out over a longer term should a student register early for a cohort and choose to commence paying prior to the start date.

Scholarships

We offer this scholarship in memory of FNTP Jennifer Pecot, who we unexpectedly lost in 2017. She was an amazing instructor who inspired and educated many members of our community. To carry on her legacy, this scholarship is dedicated to supporting students who are aligned with our mission of redefining health by nourishing, educating, and connecting individuals and communities.

The scholarship prize awarded will 50% of the cost of tuition for the Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Program.

For more on the Jen Pecot Scholarship see our website.

This is the most important investment you'll ever make.
