Level 1

Level 1 courses are held over 2 full days. During the weekend, you will learn:

• Lomi Lomi massage techniques.
• Deep tissue massage using stones.
• Contraindications.
• And much more!

Our level 1 course will teach you to deliver with confidence a full 1 ½ hot stone massage treatment. Our treatment combines the Hawaiian style of massage with gliding of stones on the body. This combination of the art of stone bodywork and the powerful ancient philosophy of the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi has made stone therapy one of the most requested massage treatments in spas and clinics around the world.

Our highly experienced trainers (who are also therapists) will teach you about the various types of stones, including how to heat, clean and care for them. We will also explore the philosophy behind these powerful and energetic stones.

You will have the option to purchase 43 highest quality naturally formed basalt stones, configured to work with the ili routine plus a 6 litre stone heater when booking. 

Level 2 - remedial toolbox

This one day workshop is designed to expand the skillset of the ili stones  therapist. You will learn safe and effective remedial hot stone techniques, and integrating cold stone therapy into your practice.

For the experienced therapist this will showcase my favourite clinically relevant techniques, using the instrument assistance of the hot stone. It will be a jumping off point on how to apply the hot stone instrument to their own abilities.  For the less experienced practitioners, these techniques will give them  ‘shotgun' techniques that really work without in depth clinical knowledge.

The 2nd half of the day will be cold  stones massage applications. Delicious and effective treatments to add to your kit bag, as well as the science behind cold therapy.

During the course of the  day we will be refreshing some of the ili stones level 1 routines as we embed the new techniques and  routines.

Please note the student prerequisite for level 2 training is ili ili stones level 1.

After the course you will have the ability to create an individualised and customised treatment for any client using the radiating heat of the stones to gently melt away layers of tension creating an experience to remember.
