What is the Bowen Technique?
The Bowen Technique is a holistic approach to improving all the body systems by resetting the muscles using hands-on techniques. Developed by Thomas Ambrose Bowen in the 1950s, the Bowen Technique involves a gentle rolling movement over the soft connective tissue that holds the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and organs together. After each set of moves, the practitioner gives the client's body a few minutes to rest and absorb the changes that have been made to it. This break is crucial as it allows the body to restore its normal structure and be able to function at optimal levels once again.
