Head Injury
Head injury is a broad term that refers to an injury of the head and/or brain. The injury may be minor or severe. Some symptoms of a head injury include bleeding, swelling, drowsiness, nausea, confusion, memory loss, blurred vision, headaches, loss of consciousness, and irritability. Depending on the severity of the head injury, some treatment options may include stitches, bed rest, pain relievers or other medication, surgery, pressure monitors (that monitor the amount of pressure inside the brain), monitoring the patient for changes, acupuncture, and herbal remedies.
