Cystitis

Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder that is usually caused by a bacterial infection. It is the most common form of a urinary tract infection. Symptoms of cystitis include a burning sensation or pain when urinating, frequent urination, cloudy, foul-smelling urine, pain above the pubic bone, and fever. Treatment options include medication, surgery in rare cases, Ayurveda, herbal medicine, homoeopathy, and acupuncture. Preventative measures include wiping from front to back after using the toilet, urinating after sexual intercourse, drinking cranberry juice, and drinking plenty of water.
