Appendicitis
Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms include the loss of appetite, nausea and/or vomiting, pain in the lower right region of the abdomen, abdominal swelling, and fever. Treatment for appendicitis is usually through surgery to remove the appendix. Antibiotics are also given to minimize the chance of contracting peritonitis. Traditional Chinese Medicine is also a treatment option, as is homoeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition therapy (which may be used to help prevent appendicitis from occurring).
