Gentle Class
This is a gentle breath, body, and mind class that incorporates the elements of yoga into a mindful movement practice. These classes encompass the varying aspects of yoga, from what may look like an achievable and simple asana (postures) practice, to the application of pranayama (the regulation of breath), and self-inquiry (svadhyaya). As every student goes through the components of this class they will learn to actively listen to their body and to create a deeper relationship with themselves.
Meditative Practice
All that we need is the want to find a space in our busy lives to stop and spend time with our self… to rest and reconnect with purpose. These classes incorporate the necessary skills and tools of yoga to get the breath, body and mind ready, allowing the practitioner to “sit” for meditation. Simple breath work and asana, combined with the use of voice, gesture, and visualisation, begin to quieten the mind into a single point of concentration for transition into the art of self-reflection and meditation.
Yoga Sensitive to the effects of Trauma
This is a body centred Yoga class, specifically designed to allow each client to connect with the body and the breath. As a student progresses they will start to develop confidence in and create a foundation of trust with their own bodies.
