• Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, University of Pune, (1984).

Previous Responsibilities

• Technical Manager from July 2009 till April 2011.


• Technical coordinator Gr. III from April 2011 to March 2013.


• Leadership to the Laboratory staff of approximately 30.
  The responsibilities include:
  
  • management of resources,
  
  
  • co-ordination of workload & responsibilities,

  • supervision of staff
  
  
  • management of (trouble-shooting of) all serological tests
  
  
  • In-charge of cell / tissue culture section
  
  
  • Ensuring service delivery requirements are met within the time / cost constraints and the framework of regulatory requirements.
  
  


• Extensive liaison with external as well as internal stakeholders, e.g. clients, commercial customers, manufacturers/ suppliers and service technicians.


• Management of equipment and reagents as per manufacturers’ specifications and National Association of testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) requirements.


• Main contact person for internal / external audits.


• Member of Interview Panels.


• QAP person

Knowledge / understanding of the implementation / maintenance of quality systems to both, ISO 17025 and ISO 9001, standards.

• Sound knowledge and understanding of quality systems to ISO 17025 and ISO 9001, standards.


• Extensively involved in the accreditation / auditing processes required for QA systems. Main contact person for NATA and AQIS audits
