About Us
Yoga Living is run by Julie Kent who has been practicing yoga since 1997. Julie was born in Jersey in the Channel Islands in 1969 and her career in Jersey has predominately involved working with children and adults with special needs as well as adults and young people with drug and alcohol addictions.
Julie left the Island in 2006 to deeply immerse herself further in the practice and study of yoga. She Studied 3 months intensively in Thailand qualifiying as a Chakra yoga teacher. She then continued her studies in Vinyassa Yoga and received a further yoga teacher training qualification in Australia, where she completed her 9 month course.
Julie continues her studies in yoga by attending regular workshops.
I teach both Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Gentle Hatha. I am also teaching Restorative Yoga and holding yoga events on the coast.
Throughout our practice our breath is synchronized with our movement, whilst also maintaining moments of stillness, giving you the opportunity to feel into the pose and explore the alignment and sensations within your own body
My style allows for variety, as in each class you will be introduced to new postures and sequences.
Focus will also be on correct alignment, honoring the uniqueness of every person, their abilities and needs, whilst maintaining safety and integrity at all times.
Working with the breath relaxes the body and calms the mind, bringing about a feeling of inner balance.
Some of the many benefits include:
