What is Yogababy and why should I join?

Yogababy is a yoga school that specialises in pre and postnatal yoga as well as birth exercises and birth education. Our aim is to guide you throughout your extraordinary transition from pregnancy to parenthood. We will help you have a calmer and fitter pregnancy, a healthier and more positive birth experience, and become a confident mum.

Suzanne Swan, a childbirth educator, senior yoga teacher, and founder of Yogababy, has a passion for birth and believes in the transformational power of yoga. With over 30 years of studying and practising yoga, she has developed her own inspiring body-and-mind-centered childbirth classes. She created Yogababy to be dedicated to helping couples gain the best possible childbirth education programme today.

What Kinds of Yoga Classes Does Yogababy Gold Coast Offer?

Pregnancy Yoga

Achieve peace and calm anywhere from 6 weeks to 42 weeks into your pregnancy by taking part in dedicated yoga classes. Health providers recommend prenatal yoga as a safe and gentle exercise. So, you can relax and be reassured that joining our yoga classes will be the best exercise for you and your baby.

Your classes will be led by a highly qualified yoga teacher with expert knowledge of pregnancy. You will be guided safely through dynamic and relaxing poses that will vary depending on your energy level and specific pregnancy conditions. We teach simple beginner's postures with varying levels of complexity offered to experienced yoga students.

Mums & Bubs Yoga

Regain your strength and balance after birth by joining dedicated yoga classes designed specifically for that purpose. You can start to reconnect with your body and ease your way through exercises that will help relax your mind during the first few months after having your baby. 

Your baby can also come and join you in soothing and fun yoga classes. Improve your baby’s growth and development by having him or her experience safe yoga sequences created especially to help your little ones thrive. You and your baby will be guided throughout the session by our yoga teachers who are highly trained in providing the safest experience for mothers and infants.

Active Birth Workshop (Bring Your Partner)

Prepare yourself and your partner for a natural birth. Join our two-hour Pregnancy and Active Birth Workshop. You can bring your partner with you or attend by yourself. These are held once a month on a Saturday afternoon.

During the workshop, you will practise different yoga postures that will help you become stronger and more flexible during childbirth. You will also learn breathing and acupressure techniques that will aid you through managing the pain better while giving birth. Plus, you will also learn active birthing positions that can help shorten labour and birth.
