In 2015 Nicola decided to take her love of yoga to the next level, and completed her Yin yoga teacher training certification with Grass Roots Yoga. This course further developed her understanding of the importance of physical movement and stretching, on the body’s anatomy, as well as highlighting how mindfulness plays such a vital role in optimising our mental health.
Yin yoga is a form of yoga which holds poses for 3 to 5 minutes in order to work deep into your fascia, your connective tissue. Classes generally run for 60 minutes and are great for beginners’ right through to experienced yogis. Ensuring that you wear comfortable attire, the instructor will guide you through a series of poses that enable rejuvenation of your joints and muscles, whereby tension and emotions may be released in order to restore balance back into your life. Nicola offers one on one or small group private classes if you’re interested.
