Acupuncture & IVF

Acupuncture is now well known for its ability to enhance IVF success rates.
Acupuncture on the day of IVF transfer increases the rate of successful live birth by nearly 50%

When should I start?

It is important to start acupuncture before commencing your IVF cycle to ensure you are in the best health possible for the transfer to be a success and future pregnancy. In most cases the earlier the better (from 1 to 6 months) although it if you are reading this and have already commenced your cycle, you will still benefit from having a treatment on the day of transfer.

In most cases, women should have acupuncture once a week in the month prior to the commencement of the IVF cycle. In cases where previous IVF cycles have failed a longer term program to bring your body up to shape may be recommended before commencing the next cycle.

Acupuncture on the day of the transfer is invaluable. Some women prefer to come before and after the transfer although a minimum of one is recommended. (special rates are available for transfer dates)

Naturopathy & Fertility

Naturopathy can assist you with your health & reproductive health & wellbeing in all stages of life.

The role of Naturopathy in fertility is to ensure that there is an adequate supply of all nutritional factors that are essential for healthy sperm and eggs and the growing baby. An absence of any of these factors compromises general health and foetal development. Ova are susceptible to damage for 100 days prior to ovulation and sperm formation takes approximately 116 days, indicating pregnancy preparation for that length of time to be vitally important and extremely valuable for healthy conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding and post natal support, and a healthy child!

Naturopathic preconception care may involve identification and detoxification of heavy metals, natural treatment of reproductive & fertility issues, elimination and avoidance of environmental toxins & pesticides, and dealing with the physiological effects of stress. In many cases nutritional supplementation and simple lifestyle changes will make the difference in providing essential nutrients for optimum foetal growth & development.
