Why choose Karen Martin?
Karen’s area of specialty is fertility, IVF support and women’s health.
She can help you with a wide variety of fertility-related conditions as well as general pre-conception health so that your body is in the healthiest place it can be, improving fertility levels, pregnancy health and the health of your baby. Karen also has many years of supporting people through the IVF process.
Women’s health throughout life is an important focus for Karen, and she is well equipped to help with health conditions that emerge at any point in life. Karen practices a combination of herbal and nutritional medicine as well as incorporating diet and lifestyle advice to achieve optimal health results. Karen’s approach to naturopathy involves treating each person as an individual, so she incorporates thorough case-taking and individual assessment into her treatment plans. She also believes that it is important to involve the person in decision making processes, and that people should have an informed involvement in their own treatment.

In 2003 she was appointed as the first lecturer in Naturopathy at the University of South Australia and later continued there in a research role. Karen has written regular complementary health columns for National Pharmacies magazine and The Advertiser and is ‘resident naturopath’ for radio 5RPH.
