Walked Talk strives to ensure that everyone, regardless of ethnic backgrounds and socio-economic positions, with or without a disability, lives a fulfilling and independent life despite the many challenges they face every day.
Clair founded Walked Talk when she saw a need for personalised, out-of-the-box solutions and services.
They offer interventions and mechanisms designed to prevent clients from disconnecting themselves from education, family, culture, and community, helping them to become the best versions of themselves.
This is accomplished by listening to what people with or without disabilities, and their families, really need, and then developing solutions that meet those needs.
People are equipped with motivation and life strategies to reach their full potential and lead independent lives.
Claire's extensive professional experience in business management, financial services, mental health, and disability means you’re in capable hands.
Services Offered
Counselling
Clair has experience working with people of all ages, from a wide range of backgrounds, and dealing with a broad range of issues.
By developing self-awareness, accepting and exploring new methods, she finds solutions to old problems.
Besides assisting you with a better understanding of your current situation, she can make suggestions where and how you may resolve the issue.
She can help you understand how to cultivate great relationships because this sometimes takes extra support from someone outside your family, workplace, and friendship circle.
NDIS Support Coordination and Plan Management
The NDIS can be complicated to understand when you are new to it.
Walked Talk can assist you in understanding the NDIS, how it works, and the process to get you started through a free video chat session or by phone.
If you have Plan Management funding in your NDIS Plan, a Walked Talk Plan Manager will assist you with making the most of your funding.
They will help you achieve your goals by recommending a broader range of health and supported service providers rather than just those NDIS-approved.
Positive Behaviour Support
A behaviour support program aims to understand why a person engages in unsafe or challenging behaviour that affects them or others.
The Walked Talk program specialises in creating evidence-based and person-centred, proactive strategies that emphasise the individual needs to reduce or eliminate the need for restrictive practices.
The program improves participant’s quality of life by offering them new skills, making sure their environment is suitable and improving their quality of life.
Through Walked Talk, disability workers can receive training in these aspects to help them improve the quality of their work with participants with high and complex needs.
