Our physiotherapists are experienced in looking after women both during and after their pregnancy for reasons such as back pain, neck pain, pelvic pain, SIJ pain, core stability or basic advice on pelvic floor strength.
Our approach to pregnancy physio is simple – if you have a pain or injury that is holding you back, we will treat it. If you are fit and healthy we will make sure you stay that way! We even run three dedicated pre and post-natal Pilates classes per week to keep you fit and strong during your pregnancy.
It is not uncommon to experience aches and pains while you are pregnant due to the postural and hormonal changes in your body. It is our job to diagnose the injury and help you work out which injuries should be treated with physio, massage, dry-needling and exercise, and which injuries require specialist care from people such as your GP, midwife, obstetrician or a specialist Womens’ Health Physio. We regularly work in consultation with doctors to keep women active and moving as much as possible.
We run three fully-dedicated pregnancy (pre- and post-natal) Pilates classes per week. In addition to that, we have a real-time ultrasound which can give you a sneak peek at your pelvic floor and stomach muscles which can greatly assist in re-strengthening after your birth.
If you would like any further details on our pregnancy services, please don't hesitate to contact us on (03) 9663 2043
