We offer several styles of yoga at varying levels, so everyone can find a practice that suits. Consider our space your holiday house, where you can reconnect, rejuvenate, refocus and relax.
  • Beginners welcome to all classes
  • We have showers at the studio along with towel & mat hire

Power Basics:
In this 75min session we take a closer look at aspects such as breath, alignment, and meditation, which make up the foundations of our yoga practice. The classes can still be dynamic, but are very safe and slower than the Vinyasa Power Flow classes. Even if you have been practicing for years, its empowering to go back to basics and practice with a beginners mind.

Vinyasa Power Flow:
These 60, 75 and 90 minute classes are dynamic, powerful, empathetic and graceful. The ‘Vinyasa style’ synchronises breath and movement in a continuous flowing fashion, so as to build strength and flexibility in mind, body and spirit. All classes are in a heated room (not as hot as bikram).

Yin Yoga:
Union Yoga offers one 75 minute Yin Yoga class per week. Most Yoga asana practiced here in Melbourne is more ‘Yang’ than ‘Yin’. Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other form of yoga; however it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial muscle tissue (which we call yang tissue). By holding specialised poses for between 1 and 15 minutes, Yin Yoga targets the deeper connective tissue, such as the ligaments, bones and even the joints. Yin yoga is the perfect complement to the more dynamic yang styles of practice offered at Union Yoga.

Anusara Yoga ®:
Anusara Yoga® is perhaps the fastest growing form of yoga in the world and this is for good reason. Anusara Yoga is a powerful Hatha Yoga system that unifies a Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of AlignmentTM, so that you feel thoroughly supported to deeply explore all aspects of your yoga practice. This basically means you will improve physical health and emotional well being, shift old patterns, wash away stress and walk through life in a whole new way!
