About Tree Love Yoga

Since I was a little girl, I have loved being outside, in nature…I have always been intrigued by the multitude of shapes and structures, little details and textures…how life can be present in so many forms and support each other…

I have always admired trees and forests…they majestic presence, the feeling of infinity looking into their tall crowns, the sense of peace and harmony…and freedom…they have always amazed me how still and silent they are but how wise they look…

I would have never guessed I would find a similar feeling of connectedness and freedom in yoga…when the body flows without effort and the mind quiets down…yoga always leaves me feeling whole and alive…

That’s where Tree Love Yoga came from…from love to trees and their comforting energy and love to yoga and its power to leave us feeling connected...

About Me

I love yoga and dance, and movement in general…I love exploring different ways to move and connecting to myself…listen to my breath andallow myself to find whatever I am supposed to find that day…be ok that sometimes my body is not flowing as I would wish and be grateful for it anyway…

Styles

Tree Love Yoga offers dynamic Vinyasa yoga classes and gentler Yin yoga classes. Please read below for more information on the styles.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga, also sometimes called Vinyasa flow or flow yoga, focuses on linking the movement with the breath. Breath is a very important element of the practice that guides us from a posture (asana) to another. Individual postures are often linked into sequences and we learn how to transition smoothly between poses and remain calm and peaceful.

Vinyasa yoga is an energizing style of yoga and provides many benefits. In addition to building stamina, strength and flexibility, it increases focus, mental strength and clarity, releases stress and promotes self-confidence and self-acceptance. As a more dynamic style, it also releases toxins out of the body, helps to restore free movement of prana (life energy) inside the body and will keep you full of health and vitality.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow-paced, quiet and simple practice which stimulates blood flow into deep connective tissues (fascia, ligaments and joint capsules), keeping them healthy and releasing any blockages of energy flow within your body. Contrary to more dynamic Yang styles of yoga (like Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Bikram and Hot Yoga) where muscles are targeted (stretched and strengthened), in Yin practice muscles are fully relaxed and your body is allowed to open on a deeper level.

Individual postures are held for 3-5 min, allowing your whole body to relax completely and the connective tissues to be gently stressed. Your body will be fully supported with bolsters, blankets and/or blocks so that you can let go of any tension, cultivate inner stillness and patience.

A balanced practice of Yang and Yin style of yoga will keep you strong, flexible and healthy.
