Located on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, The Yoga Institute is a dedicated centre for education in yoga. Passionate about yoga and the benefits it brings to peoples’ lives, our team is committed to providing yoga teachers and yoga teacher training students with a highly engaging learning experience. The Yoga Institute values the role that mentoring offers both trainee teachers and yoga teachers. We have a team of experienced mentors who provide support and guidance, including developing a personal yoga practice.
Yoga Therapy
As the name suggests, Yoga Therapy is the therapeutic application of yoga, to assist people with a range of physical, emotional and mental health concerns. Yoga Therapy empowers and supports individuals to manage and improve their health and well-being. Using the principles of yoga and applying a range of yoga practices, developed within a professional therapeutic relationship. Applications include helping people with concerns such as sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, addictions, PTSD, chronic fatigue, back pain, scoliosis, asthma, digestive issues, fertility and menstrual issues.

Yoga practices may be incorporated into a holistic approach to your mind-body health, or body-centered counselling. Private Health insurance and Medicare rebates may apply.
Health Insurance Rebates: Cost for yoga lessons may now be claimed with many private health insurance policies. You may also be able to claim for psychological services, if applicable.
Cancellation fee: If you are unable to make your private lesson, please contact your teacher within 24 hours. 50% of consultation fee applies if you do not inform us within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Full consultation fees apply if you do not inform us at all.
