Focus areas
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that focuses on how bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and other connective tissues function as a unit. Osteopathy recogises the link between the structure of the body and how it functions. Utilising skilled examination, diagnosis and techniques such as massage, manipulation, mobilisation, dry needling, and muscle energy technique, osteopaths are able to assist with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditons.
Osteopaths are required to complete a 5 year University degree and are AHPRA registered covering all major health funds.
Myotherapy
Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of musculokskeletal conditons which may result in pain and dysfucntion affecting movement.
Along with the primary use of massage, myotherapists also utilise dry neeling, cupping, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
Myotherapists complete a 3 year advanced diploma.
