What exactly is Reiki and what will my session be like?

I offer both in person sessions and online/distant healing sessions if your prefer the comfort of your own home.

Reiki is an ancient non invasive healing method that involves the practioner channeling universal energy in though their crown  and out through their hands on to various points of the body such as chakra centres. You will remain fully clothed and if you have specific injuries such as burns or dislike being touched as well as sensitive body areas, I can hold my hands above your body rather than on the body . This is just as affective.

After discussing your stresses and any concerns / physical ailments with me , we will begin the session with you lying down either on my massage table or if online/distant on your own bed/couch (please note young children's sessions usually work better if they are playing quietly on the floor during a distant healing).

I will begin by scanning your body, checking your auras as well as chakras . I will use my intuition to guide me to where the reiki energy needs to go. Don't worry as it will always go where it is needed. 

I may also intuitively place crystals on certain areas , use essential oils on my hands or spray over you (assuming you have no allergies and dont find these smells too overwhelming such as those with sensory processing). I may also place colour cards etc or flower essences. Sometimes I receive guidance and messages for you during your session. 

Often people feel very relaxed and may even drift off to sleep during the session. Others may feel tingling sensations, heat,cold, feel emotional or nothing at all . All of these things are normal. Sometimes changes are not felt until up to 48 hours afterwards. Regardless of what you feel, feel rest assured that you have received positive, loving energy for your highest good on all levels. For online/distant healings, i will use a surrogate doll in my clinic or myself as a surrogate and place remedies on myself as i would you. Energetically this is just as affective

At the end of your session I will either discuss what came up during the session as well as explain any remedies used and may offer suggestions for things to do afterwards. For online sessions we can either discuss this via zoom or messenger video or I can message you via text or email your session results.
