About Sue
Sue's philosophy is simple, really. Eat 'real' foods, natural foods, whole foods. Avoid 'fake' foods, chemical-laden foods, processed foods. In this way, you will naturally consume foods high in nutrients... and you will feel great!
Instead of focussing on what foods you 'can't' have, Sue wants to shout from the roof tops what a big, delicious variety of food you can (and should) have. This applies whether you are at work, at the supermarket, cooking for yourself or your family at home, eating out or enjoying takeaway.
Sue strongly believes in integrative medicine and that all symptoms of ill health should be thoroughly investigated and addressed with a comprehensive health assessment and appropriate tests. Where appropriate, she will use nutritional supplements to assist you back to health and wellness and where beneficial, will work with your doctor.
Several paths led Sue to nutrition. As a little girl, Sue was fascinated with bright-coloured sweets. She enjoyed getting out the box of artificial colours and making marble cakes, multicoloured toffees and coloured icing. Ultimately, she became known amongst peers as "The Lolly Queen". After school, she went to university and then practised Law for many years. The combination of a poor diet and stressful career brought her health down in a heap when an intestinal parasite (Blastocystis Hominis), contracted on an overseas holiday, remained undiagnosed for several years. By the same token, this period of ill health was also the wake-up call she needed to follow her passion of nutrition - not only to help herself get well again but to help others do so too.
Sue's qualifications include:
Sue lives with her husband, Craig and her little boy, Jesse - two other inspirations for her love of good nutrition and healthy eating.
