About Studio Qi

Although husband and wife team Brad and Tabitha Fennell arrived at Acupuncture as a therapy separately, they have a shared vision deliver Acupuncture services to the people of the Burleigh area in a unique way that changes lives.

Drawing on the Chinese concept of ‘Qi’ (pronounced ‘chee’), which means Energy, their name was chosen reflect their desire to create 'a studio of energy'. Studio Qi and we as a team, continue to evolve and have a focus on unfolding and discovering ideal ways to work with YOU, our clients.

As Studio Qi has grown and evolved, we have developed a unique system we call Acufacilitation to help manage the array of needs in our community. This technique is unique to Studio Qi, combining the theories and practices of Acupuncture with a philosophical approach to living in harmony with nature - including your own personal nature. Acufacilitation is more than just needles.

Studio Qi’s approach is holistic and based on fundamental Acupuncture techniques, philosophies and ideas. We are your Burleigh specialists in Acupuncture – it’s our life - and we look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience with you.

Brad Fennell Acupuncturist and Studio Qi Founder and Principle

With a passion for rock climbing, Brad discovered Acupuncture was ideal for the treatment of injuries. Brad’s introduction to Acupuncture was profound, physically and emotionally and led to a new passion – the dream to study Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Brad has practiced Tui Na oriental massage since 1998 and gained a Bachelor in Health Science in Acupuncture in 2000.

He then joined forces with his wife, Tabitha and together they created Studio Qi.

Brad juggles his busy practice with writing, public and speaking and time spent with his family.

Tabitha Fennell Acupuncturist and Studio Qi Founder and Principle

Tabitha was introduced to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine as a child, following her Mother’s decision to seek an alternative approach to healthcare for her family.

Tabitha’s early love for, and belief in Acupuncture led to study and the completion of an Acupuncture degree at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in 1997. Soon after this, Tabitha’s began her Acupuncture practice on the Gold Coast.

“Acupuncture has shaped the person I am today! I am wildly passionate about women's health: PMT, fertility, pregnancy, child birth, babies and beyond. Discovering acupuncture at a young age has given me first-hand experience the support Acupuncture brings to the body, facilitating physical and emotional balance.”

Tabitha is the busy mother of three boys, a wife and practitioner and understands the role TCM plays in supporting hectic lifestyles and the demands of modern life.
