Pregnancy Massage offers the following outcomes:

  • Reduced Stress

  • Decreased Swelling

  • Relief of Aches and Pains

  • Reduced Anxiety

Your massage therapist will customise your treatment to meet your specific needs and concerns. It is best practice to avoid massage in the first trimester.

The Massage oils and massage balms we use are safe for use during pregnancy and we will ensure that you will always be in a position that ensures your comfort and safety.

SPtherapy uses Belly Pillows (we have two sizes) ensuring that you are able to safely lie on your stomach at all stages of your pregnancy, alternatively, we offer a full length body pillow for the side-lying position – your comfort and safety is uppermost in our minds.

First appointments have a 60 minute duration and will include some or all of the following, depending on your needs:

  • A tailored treatment plan that meets your needs and desired outcome

  • Informed consent for treatment to take place

  • The Massage

  • Subsequent appointments and/or referrals will be discussed – they are most often 60 minute bookings, although 90 minute appointments are also available.

For more information about whether Pregnancy Massage is for you or the expectant mum in your life or to book, call or visit the SPtherapy website.
