Services;
General TCM or Internal Medicine
Chinese Medicine is a complete system which applies principally Chinese Herbalism, Acupuncture, Moxibustion, TCM Dietetics and Qigong / Chinese Yoga to treat and manage a wide range of diseases, dysfunctions or discomforts. Helping with both internal developed or externally contracted illnesses. Between the varied treatment methods, CM has the potential to relieve symptoms, improve and/or help in the treatment and management of a wide range of illnesses. It can often be used in synergy with Orthodox Medicine or other Alternative Therapies. Working in co-operation with your Doctor the CM approach can often assist in keeping your dosages of Bio-medicals at lower levels. TCM is often of value with conditions that are becoming unresponsive to medicals and/or proving difficult to relieve.
Specialist Treatment or Physical / Manual Therapies;
The treatment and rehabilitation of acute and/or chronic painful conditions.
Our Traditional bodywork is a combination of Tuina Anmo [Chinese massage], Acupuncture, Moxibustion [presentation of warmth], Cupping [suction based], and Qigong [traditional integrative movement, mindfillness / meditative and breathing exercise therapies ]. It can be used to assist in treatment, management and recovery from a wide range of acute and chronic muscular skeletal conditions resulting from sport or occupationally induced injury and pain.
A NOTE ON THE TERM 'DRY NEEDLING' vs ACUPUNCTURE. The contemporary techniques utilised in 'Dry-needling' have always been a part of Traditional Acupuncture Practice. It constitutes the process of acquiring an 'Acupuncture Sensation' [or 'De Qi' ]. A muscular twitch is only 1 part of the 'potential spectrum' of Qi sensations that are possible. It is important that the treatment remains comfortable.
