Mario completed a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Anatomy and Neurophysiology at Sydney University in 1992. He then went on to complete a Master of Chiropractic in 1994 at Macquarie University.

Mario has worked in private practice ever since, managing and treating a range of musculoskeletal disorders using a multimodal approach. These include:

• Acute and chronic pain syndromes of the low back and neck
  
• Headaches
  
• General joint stiffness
  
• Postural syndromes
  
• pinally related neurological disorders.

With a specific interest in sport and sports-related injuries, especially of the shoulder, Mario also works on research involving the shoulder, pain syndromes, conservative management and rehabilitation. Mario's articles have been published in Medline indexed journals and he has also published a book chapter on shoulder pain.
