My Reiki Journey

My first experience with Reiki was many years ago. I had newly arrived in Australia and was backpacking my way up the east coast. Through my travels, I met an Australian woman who offered to do a Reiki healing with me. I remember feeling very calm and relaxed afterwards, even though I wasn’t really sure what she had done to me as I had my eyes closed and hadn’t felt her hands on me.
 
A few years ago, a friend re-introduced me to Reiki, and I felt like it was the missing piece of my practitioner puzzle! I have now completed my Reiki Master training and have begun to teach this life-changing tool! I practice Reiki daily on myself, my family, my pets, my clients and even my plants! I love sharing this beautiful energy and feel very grateful for the opportunity to offer & teach this beautiful healing modality! It is very gentle and relaxing, yet extremely powerful.
 

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient healing technique that emerged in Japan in the late 1800’s. It comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life force energy). Reiki is a type of energy healing that involves the transfer of universal energy through the practitioner's palms to their patient. Reiki treats the whole person including the physical body, emotions, mind and spirit. It can initiate many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of calm and wellbeing. Each treatment is as unique as the individual therefore no two sessions are alike.
 
I also utilize other healing modalities during a Reiki session, which may include: Chakra clearing, crystal therapy, the use of sage for smudging or essential oils to induce a state of relaxation. Reiki can help to clear those blocks to healing that we may not be able to define or express.
