Digestive Health
Focus areas
Our Gastro Intestinal Tract (GIT) serves 2 primary functions, to absorb nutrients and to remove toxins. If our gut is working poorly or is not working efficiently then cell health can be affected as not enough nutrients and too many toxins enter the blood stream and penetrate the cells. In turn, git permeability (leaky gut) and gut dysbiosis can bring about neurological, metabolic and immunological disorders such as attention deficit, allergies and anxiety.
Trillions of bacteria inhabit our bodies. In our digestive tract we have more bacteria than cells within our bodies. Some of these are quite beneficial to us, however, some are neutral and others are pathogenic. Normally these maintain a symbiotic relationship with the host but our lifestyle, modern western diets and medications such as antibiotics and the Pill can dramatically reduce the levels of friendly bacteria we have in our digestive tract and this can result in a leaky gut. We should have around %80 “good” bacteria and %20 of the “bad”. If the bad can overthrow the good and compromise the immune system, this will result in a range of issues for digestive health and overall illnesses.
We specialise in Digestive Health Issues such as Leaky Gut, Candida, Dysbiosis, Microbiome, Allergies and Food Sensitivities.
