Aromatherapy harnesses the powerful cosmetic and therapeutic power of essential oils derived from plants to stimulate the body's innate healing process. Oils are extracted in a variety of ways so that the therapeutic benefits of the oils are maintained.

Aromatherapy has existed for thousands of years, with studies and advancements in both Eastern and Western systems resulting in enhanced aromas that are able to be of benefit either during an Aromatherapy Massage or in a diffuser.

Aromatherapy Body Massage (1 Hour):

The person receiving an Aromatherapy Massage will usually undress to their underwear and the massage is administered lying down. Sheena will discuss your preferences and any presenting conditions and then select essential oils to meet your needs. She will employ massage techniques that are specific to your condition or requirements, and will also stimulate accupressure points and meridians with the aim of improving the body's function overall.

Your Massage will differ from that of a Beauty Therapist in a day spa, because the technique aims to rebalance the body's polarity and nourish you energetically. Reiki may also be administered during the treatment, if Sheena believes your body needs this to re-harmonise.

Essential oils are integral to this Massage Therapy, because they are tailored to your needs and absorbed by the skin rapidly. Their therapeutic properties are able to improve health by bringing relief from pain, grief and emotional issues, uplifting or energising the whole body.
