What a Naturopathic Consult Entails

A consultation entails thoroughly gathering information on your current and past health conditions, as well as diet, lifestyle and environmental factors that may be contributing to your presenting ailments.

On top of this I will also preform a physical examination including analysis of your iris, tongue and nails in order to attain further insight on the cause for your condition. 

Upon reviewing all the information I will talk you through my proposed treatment, which may include herbal medicine, supplementation, flower essences as well as diet and lifestyle changes.

Physical Analysis

Each initial consult also involves investigating the iris, tongue and nails for signs to give me insight into the possible cause of your condition.

Iridology 

When investigating the iris I am looking at many different aspects, such as colour variations, highlights and shadows, the weaving and furrowing of fibers, and also the position, shape and size of pigments and markings.

These details enable me to determine the integrity of tissue with specific correlation to regions within the body, and also to attain a picture of correlating factors that can be contributing to your current condition.

The analysis is preformed in a non-invasive way  by  using an iris camera, which provides me with a detailed photograph of your eye.

Tongue Analysis 

The tongue has many relationships and connections to different areas of the body, and also the body as a whole.  So by examining colour, size, shape, coatings, spots and cracks in varying area's I am able to gauge what's going on within certain parts of your body.

Nail Analysis 

Like the tongue, nails also have specific signs, which indicate the health of your body. It is another effective tool for finding a cause to your complaints.
