An appointment with your coach, Mimi, lasts around 45 minutes and includes an email summary and email coaching between sessions, as needed. Mimi calls you at your chosen appointment time, either during office hours or after hours, 5 days a week.

Life Coaching is about helping you set and achieve your goals. It is also about learning to prioritise, manage your time and stress levels and find ways to get what you want to get out of life, whatever that may be. With the help of a coach clients are better able to form a vision of what they want, aim higher and stay motivated to achieve their vision.
A life coach is trained to help you better understand and achieve the outcomes you want for your life and to address the different areas of your life, such as relationships, health, fitness, career, work-life balance and confidence so that your everyday enjoyment of life improves.
A coach will use specific techniques and exercises as well as providing support and encouragement. Each life coach has specific areas they specialise in. Some will focus on business or career coaching and others will focus on personal coaching. At Shape It Up! we specialise in personal coaching and we have a specific interest in holistic, health oriented coaching, emotional intelligence, learned optimism and down-to-earth support.

How sessions are structured
We take clients from anywhere in Australia, over the phone and we call you for your session at the appointed time. We cover all phone costs and we can call you on your mobile if you prefer. Mimi is very careful to call you right on your appointment time, so that you are not left waiting and it's this convenience that many of our clients rave about.
Phone sessions have been found to be equally as effective as face-to-face sessions for many clients, and many actually prefer it to the driving, parking and extra time that would otherwise go into having an appointment. It can also be easier to talk about deeply personal issues from the privacy and security of your own home.
Each session lasts for approximately 45 minutes and life coaching sessions include take home exercises and goals to be completed before the next session as well as practical advice and suggestions for between sessions.
An email summary of the main points of each session is provided along with email support. Currently appointments are available during office hours and in the evenings 5 nights per week.
Free Consultation
We offer a free 20 minute Phone Consultation to discuss whether our services are right for you and we recommend this as a starting point. In this session you will gain a feel for our approach and whether it suits you. There is no obligation to continue after your introductory session. To book in for your free session please contact us.
About Us
Shape It Up! Lifestyle Solutions is a life coaching and counselling consultancy, established in 2007 and based in Geelong.
At Shape It Up! an emphasis is placed on achieving holistic outcomes. We believe that counselling and life coaching programs work best when all of the areas of your life are addressed and therefore your program will always include reference to your general health and deeper needs along with other desires such as monetary success or weight loss.
Your Coach, Mimi Loois holds Diplomas in Life Coaching, Counselling, Clinical Nutrition and Stress Management Consulting as well as a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy. Mimi is currently furthering her counselling qualifications by undertaking a part-time Masters Degree in Counselling at Monash University, this is an internationally recognised counselling degree of the hightest level currently offered in Australia. Mimi has many hundreds of hours of coaching experience and has a relaxed, down to earth approach. She lives in Geelong with her husband and children and is interested in travel, fitness, philosophy, sustainable living and many areas of personal development.

Our stress management programs are designed to address stress in your life and also to educate you about recognising stress before it builds up. We use a variety of techniques and exercises to help you achieve the right amount of positive, motivating stress (eustress) whilst lessening the negative aspects of stress as much as possible.
We have clients from a range of professional backgrounds who have come to us to learn how to reduce their stress in order to improve their health prospects, relationships and work performance.
