Due to my time in the military i saw the great lack of injury prevention and management that occurred which consequently, served as the great motivator for me to head into Myotherapy. I Completed my studies at Endeavour College of Natural Health with a Bachelor of Health Science - majoring in Clinical Myo.
Myotherapy is half way between osteopathy and physio in nature. It draws upon western principles of medicine, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Myotherapy seeks to resolve pain and dysfunction caused by injury, trauma, disease or postural and gait abnormalities. It uses a wide range of tools including: Deep tissue massage, exercise prescription and strengthening, Neurophysiological training and joint mobilisations.
I am deeply interested in injury prevention training - through gait/postural correction, applied exercise and strenthening, joint pathologies - especially shoulder, hip and wrist, and also neurophysiology - the relation between brain, nerves and muscle groups.
