I spent the first 30+ years of my life travelling through my days with uncertainty and fear. I was riddled with the trauma of abuse and with it came a major identity crisis. 

Just when I thought I was starting to overcome my struggles and start to find my true self, I was involved in a life-changing car accident that left me disabled and out of my dream career – Nursing. 

For seven years I was unable to use my dominant arm as I had crushed all the insides of my shoulder. During those years I was also going through a horrific custody battle for my two young boys and several unsuccessful IVF cycles with my second husband. So I couldn't afford the surgery. I was finally blessed with my Miracle Triplets in 2013 and I was named the 'Miracle Mum' but not without a hefty price tag. Here's why... 

You see, because of all the trauma my poor Body, Mind, and Soul had endured over the decades, mentally, emotionally, and in every other dis-eased kind of way, they decided it was now time to get PHYSICAL! 

As soon as I was given my first epidural in labour, I knew I 'felt weird'. I still remember hearing 'I got no heartbeat... ' someone else said 'I got no blood pressure...' before everything faded out and then - I died. Yes, I had to be brought back to life. This was the first time I died. 

I delivered my babies naturally but now I had to go to the theatre to get the placentas out that wouldn't budge! I hemorrhaged so badly that I lost almost all the blood from my body during the deliveries. I needed to have almost 20 bags of blood transfusions to bring me back to life. 

I was so cold. I remember I kept asking for a blanket but in the end, I think I was just talking to the Angels as one came and whispered in my ear that I had no blood in my body and I was all blue so that is why I was cold but a lovely nurse was getting me a special blanket that might help very soon. I think they said my temperature was 59° or something like that and I was thinking to myself but that's hot. She gently whispered again 'no dear, minus'... no wonder I was cold! Lol. 

I then heard the whole theatre start buzzing with life again. It was as if for a few moments there was only me and my Angel. Before I knew it, I was wrapped in what I logically knew as the 'warm electric bubble blanket thingy'. I told the nurses it didn't help and then we all laughed together. Even my Angels had a chuckle with us. The doctors gave me credit for my humour. Those bubble blankets are when you have some blood still. The transfusions would take time to get in and around my body... 

Over the next three weeks after giving birth to my triplets at just 5 and a half months gestation, I died over 7 times. I was in and out of consciousness the whole of the first night in the operating theatre that night with the medical team constantly resuscitating me and trying to keep me alive so that night didn't count in the 7 times according to the records. 

My wake-up call came when I had a stroke in 2016 and consequently started losing my vision. At that point, I decided life was too short to play around with me and we needed to have fun with IT instead. Since 2016, I have had two more strokes and I am now legally blind with no peripheral vision. My health conditions are considered 'life threatening' as I regularly go into adrenal crisis and have over 20 other chronic illnesses and injuries BUT... I still enjoy a life free of chronic pain and full of self love and vitality using the systems I have created for my clients over all these decades.
