Why try an Acupuncture or Dry Needling Treatment?

Acupuncture and Dry Needling both use acupuncture needles to pierce the skin and provoke a healing response. Acupuncture makes use of 3000 years of Chinese clinical observation and has developed a clinically effective reputation in the treatment of musculo-skeletal and neurological conditions.

Dry Needling has emerged from the Pain Medicine field and is called 'Dry' needling because it does not use a hypodermic needle filled with medication, such as cortisone, to achieve an effect. Its effectiveness is currently ascribed to its effects on the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), and its ability to increase micro-circulation, and restore normal muscle length and tone to injured tissue.
