Welcome to Sally Riley

About Me

During my professional life I have been a teacher and lecturer in life sciences which included human anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. I helped train medical laboratory technologists for a number of years at TAFE.

I am a wife, mother and a grandmother of two girls aged ten and eight and two grandsons six and five years. This means I am well acquainted with the problems of mother hood and young children.

My passion for herbs and the belief they could help in our search for wellbeing in these difficult times when the basics of living well are often forgotten, developed after an instance of breast cancer. The thought that this may happen to anyone of us was one of the driving forces behind herbal research and study. I am now aware of herbs that may assist wellbeing day to day and during radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I also know that diet is extremely important and some herbs may be beneficial in recovery and future health.

I look forward to helping you in the healing process in the simplest way possible. To help you to understand the significance of herbs to wellness I have written a book entitled ,"Herbs,Health and Wellbeing , Talking Herbs", which I am happy to send you online , or ten dollars for a hard copy.

I look forward to hearing from you .

My Therapies

Nutritional advice for weight loss and well being. If you are overweight you may need to modify your diet. Low G.I. diet is a current buzz word .However low glycemic index foods are important. The complex carbohydrates they contain stop us getting hungry and we are less liking to snack out on those chocolates and biscuits..

Mineral deficiencies are responsible for many of our everyday illnesses, low energy levels and our inability to cope with crying children, housework, relatives, workload, stress and you name it!

Amazing results can be obtained with mineral supplements called “Celloids”. These contain in small amounts the minerals our cells and body systems may be craving. These minerals are often low in the vegetables we eat because they are low in Tasmanian soils.

Women’s Health is a special interest.I have found that herbs are helpful for those conditions that cause such inconvenience to normal living such as endometriosis, polycystic ovaries, PMS and irregular periods. Even the regular appearance of acne at those certain times in the month may be eliminated with herbs and diet.

Herbal Medicine:

Herbs are the natural alternative medicines for every day ailments. They lack the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.

Herbs are useful for the stresses of everyday living, for insomnia, indigestion, flatulence, the hot flushes and night sweats of menopause, convalescence after illness, irritable bowel syndrome, tinnitus, acne to mention a few. Skin conditions are often receptive to treatment with minerals and/ or herbs.

Child Illnesses:

The running nose, the persistent cough, the eczema and allergies so prevalent today may all benefit on child doses of herb mixes or minerals.

Herbs are the gentle alternative for every day ailments.

They have been used for hundreds of years, what better recommendation.
