What is the Feldenkrais Method?
The Feldenkrais Method is a type of therapy that involves gentle movements to improve the body’s function. Here at the Salamander Centre for Feldenkrais & Creative Dance in Newport VIC, we employ this method to help our clients improve their mind and body coordination.
Sally Low has been practicing this holistic treatment ever since she gained her qualifications 30 years ago. According to a study regarding neuroplasticity, the Feldenkrais Method is grounded in the concept that the brain never stops learning new actions throughout a lifetime, hence its ability to modify an established pattern of thoughts and habits to shift one’s actions.
