Emotional/Mahamaha
Human emotions, which represent the feminine or yin energy, are in charge of acknowledgement, comprehension, expectation and projection. Dismiss the expectation you have for everything. Let go of your attachment to your expectations. When anticipation is absent, energy flows, allowing the process to take shape in its natural form.
Our belief patterns and behaviours shape the structure of our emotions, prompting us to live in a certain way that drives the culture in which we live.
Spiritual/Wairua
The spirit interacts with oneself, the elements, the community, ancestors, family, the source, and faith. Recognise everything which you are grateful for. Our emotions and the structure in which we live influence our spiritual existence, harvesting the culture within which we choose to exist. This is what drives the results.
Ethereal/Mauri
Ether refers to life force energy. It is the manifestation of memory, breath, growth, wisdom, unconditional love or aroha. We are human BEINGS, even if our conditioning has trained us to be human DOINGS. When we let go of our expectations, let go of our negative self-talk, observe and acknowledge, we are BEING rather than doing. FLOW.
Our values, behaviour, structure, and culture all interact to produce the outcomes we are experiencing. To modify the results in a sustainable way, we must return to our innate nature.
Physical/Tinana
Diet, exercise and receiving care from oneself and others are essential for maintaining the physical body. Always trust yourself. Believe in your body and its constitutional innateness. Trust your instincts. Have faith in the timing of events. Be patient, and most importantly, TRUST THE PROCESS. When we let go of our attachment to expectation, we may observe and watch the flow of a process that develops in seemingly magical ways - things we never expected.
Mental/Hinengaro
The mind is the masculine or yang force. It symbolises growth, values and legacy. Observation is key to strengthening your mental prowess. We absorb more as we observe more. Dissolve the mental chatter and pay attention to everything. Analyse your own body and how it responds to various situations. Assess your emotions and how you behave in different situations. Examine your surroundings and how they alter under different conditions. Observe how the seasons and environment affect nature. Then watch what happens when you observe.
Our behaviours and perceptions are the result of a mind that has been shaped by people around us. This determines the framework under which we choose to live our lives.
