Setting Goals
When you consider all aspects of the goal, then why do you want this? What will be the benefits, the results from your successful achievement?
Visualize what you are going to do and what your reality will look like after this goal is successfully completed.
The expected beneficial outcome of a goal can be used to help define a motivational desire.
Your personal expectation, what you assume the results will be from taking a particular course of action plays a significant role in determining whether or not you move towards that goal or not.
If you perceive that there will be an experience during or immediately after the completion of a goal that is positive and pleasurable, then desire will build.
So, let’s build a powerful positive image for our perfect end-result. Visualize and See yourself where you want to be. How would you feel when you have achieved your goal.
The Comfort Zone
The Comfort Zone is the area of life where nothing happens. It’s an area we spend a lot of time in.
It’s the area of life where things aren’t all good, but they’re not all bad. A friend of mine calls it the “Land of blah, blah, blah…” I also often call it, “The Gray Zone,” because it makes for such a bleak life. We have been conditioned to accept it and live it.
The Comfort Zone includes everything that you have in your life right now, the good things, the not-so-bad things, and those things you’d rather not think about.
Most people live their lives clinging to this Comfort Zone because, even though their life isn’t the way they want it to be, they’ve become used to it, or comfortable with it.
As a matter of fact, they’ve become so used to it that, when something better comes along, they’re often afraid to take the step out of their Comfort Zone and they miss the opportunities.
They go through their life almost as if they’re a pinball in a cosmic arcade machine.
It’s as if, one day, the Universe pulls the plunger back and pops them out of the chute into life.
They bounce off of whatever stands in their way, constantly being bounced around, making a lot of noise, but not making a lot of difference in the direction they’re moving.
And finally, at the end, they drop down the big black tunnel.
The fact is you’ve got a choice, but you have to exercise that choice to have those things you want in life.
DECIDE make a decision you will not stay the way it is.
