What is Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and management of muscular pain and tightness. Using various soft tissue techniques we restore mobility, function and reduce pain. Myotherapy treats specific musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction caused by various trigger points or fascia (connective tissue) in the body. After careful assessment your Myotherapist will decide which course of action is required for your problem.

Myotherapists use different techniques such as massage, dry needling, cupping and fascial release to treat the musculoskeletal system. Massage is a highly effective way to treat soft tissue in the body and combined with other techniques you can achieve optimal results.

A Myotherapist can successfully treat the following conditions:

  • Muscular Pain & Spasm

  • Sprains & Strains

  • Chronic Overuse (RSI)

  • Neck & Back Pain

  • Headaches/Mirgaines

  • Sporting Injuries

  • Pre & Post Pregnancy

  • Elbow & Wrist Pain

  • Knee, Hip & Ankle Pain

  • Frozen Shoulder

  • Tennis/Golfers Elbow

  • Shin 'Splints'

  • Sciatica
