Management of chronic pain, muscle imbalance, injury and muscle tension. As a therapist I aim to promote musculoskeletal balance using various methods of manual therapy including relaxation massage, cupping, joint mobilisation, deep soft-tissue manipulation, muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, positional release, and lymphatic drainage.

GOAL

As a Remedial Therapist my goal is to attempt to re-align the body by first recognising imbalance then manipulating the soft-tissues firmly but gently to promote better musculoskeletal health and provide significant pain relief and relaxation. Treatments are individually structured to cater to a client's specific needs and expected outcomes.

My passion is Lymphatic Drainage, a technique used to manually move fluid through the tissues and drain it from the body. It is extremely useful pre and post surgery to aid in recovery and promote immune function, for general detoxification, relaxation, and treatment of many conditions including generalised fluid retention and oedema:

HOW I WORK

As a therapist I treat the whole person. Lifestyle, work and mental health status all affect the health of our musculoskeletal system. I attempt to ease tension, dysfunction and pain by manipulating the soft tissues of the body to realign and restore the individual to a functional level

HOME CARE

Clients may be prescribed stretches or strengthening exercises when necessary to aid in the healing process. Advice may be given on balancing work and lifestyle demands to ensure good mental health and well-being, an important pre-cursor to ensuring good physical health.

I believe taking a holistic view of treatment can afford the client a wider range of health benefits and ultimately achieve a better result.
