Welcome to Reflections Professional Counselling
Reflections Professional Counselling is a small, caring practice. We are based in Melton, Victoria. We specialise in relationship counselling which is especially relevant to our current society. Our team work with individuals, couples and families in a safe setting free from judgement. We are committed to treating our clients with dignity and respect while working towards their chosen outcomes and therapy goals.
So why choose counselling?
Life can be unpredictable and as a result sometimes we need some extra support to get us through the tough times. When it seems there is no hope for the future or a solution to our problems, counselling could be the answer. Almost all people will need extra support at some stage of their life.
In addition to relationship counselling we also work with people for issues such as:
- managing everyday life
- problem solving
- past traumas
- grief and loss
- divorce and separation
- goal setting
Our Services
Reflections Professional Counselling offer several counselling services – individual, couple or family counselling as well as relationship specific counselling. We work towards the desired outcomes of our clients – we follow your agenda not ours! We have an eclectic approach which is caring and non-judging. The methods we use are based on proven psychological theories and therefore are tried and tested. Our counsellors are committed to learning and staying up to date with the latest research.
Relationship Counselling
Relationships come in many different forms – couples, families, friendships. workplace employees and employers and so on. Counselling for relationships focuses on repeating patterns of stress on the relationship – some factors could include communication, finances, behaviour, differences and baggage from previous relationships. Rather than focusing on the individuals in the relationship, focus is placed on the systemic interactions within the relationship. Strengthening bonds and connections, improving communication and empowering the members of the relationship to take charge of their destiny are important facets of relationship work. It is our belief that almost all relationships can be improved with therapy and a commitment to change.
The skills and techniques involved in working with relationships go beyond those employed in general counselling so it is important that your counsellor has the right training and skills to give you the best outcomes. Our principle counsellor Katherine Prefol is trained in General Counselling and also has a Post-Grad qualification in Relationship Counselling.
