Acupuncture

The insertion of acupuncture needles into specific acupuncture points. These points fall on one of 12 meridians or channels. Points are selected based on the source of pain, anatomy, and treatment goals (e.g. swelling, pain management, and muscle tension).

Dry Needling

The insertion of fine sterile needles into tender points with the specific aim of immediate release of trigger points or muscular tension. These do not always relate to traditional acupuncture points.
