Welcome to QiFit
QiFit is an advanced functional and anatomically correct movement exercise system designed by Nicholas Blewett based around the Chinese internal martial arts of Taijiquan and Baguazhang and mindfulness Qigong meditations.
At QiFit we refer to internal movement as whole body core-centric movement and emphasize that this ‘way’ of moving is essentially a different ‘way’ of utilizing the human musculoskeletal system which increasingly reprograms and resets our natural dynamic human tensegrity mechanics.
Our QiFit training programs have been developed to progressively teach every essential detail of internal core-centric movement principles and patterns to quickly build your skill level and ability to access the more advanced areas of internal martial arts and QiFit movement practices.
Nicholas Blewett
After two decades of studying health and whole-body wellness through movement and natural medicine, Nicholas Blewett created – QiFit – a multidisciplinary / multi-levelled body awareness, meditation, exercise and self-defence system. Qi Fit involves aspects of Taijiquan and Baguazhang internal Chinese boxing, personal training, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, qigong, meditation, energy regulation and qigong healing techniques.
Nicholas takes great pride in his passion for managing health and well-being and promoting a holistic and positive approach to exercise and healing; training deeper body and mind awareness through his self created Qifit system.

Traditional Acupuncture
Qi Health acupuncture is a gentle, safe and effective treatment for many common musculoskeletal and internal or mental health conditions. We use tiny single-use disposable pins and use a range of traditional techniques during treatment which often but not necessarily always include moxibustion, massage, cupping, stretching and exercise prescription. The effects of acupuncture have been shown in research to accumulate with each treatment and for this reason, acupuncture treatment programs can be found here.
Dry Needle / Trigger Point Therapy
Dry needling protocol has always been only one single aspect of traditional acupuncture treatment insofar as finding reactive trigger points which release tension and restore normal mechanical functioning. Coupling dry needling with acupuncture protocol and other traditional treatment techniques actually makes dry needling more effective leading to better and often faster results for you and your condition. We sincerely invite you to come and find out the difference today.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine is the application of traditional diagnostic tools such as pulse, tongue, abdominal and constitutional diagnosis, syndrome pattern differentiation and prognosis, internal or external influences on the zung fu or meridians and other elements of a professional Chinese medical and acupuncture diagnosis and treatment strategy to help correctly apply acupuncture and needle-based therapies. It is important clinically to note that traditional diagnostic tools help direct the correct application of acupuncture and needle therapies to ensure they are applied safely, effectively and in line with the best patient outcomes.
Massage / Tui Na / Cupping
We offer a range of different therapeutic massage techniques typically applied within a combination of therapies in the context of a whole-body treatment or treatment plan. If you wish to book a massage please let us know those intentions at the time of making the booking as extended massages are not always clinically possible. However, if you do wish to book a massage please check out our treatments packages at the bottom of this page.
Herbal Medicine and Supplements
Qi Health treatment and treatment packages can be reinforced with the use of herbal medicine or nutritional supplements to help target and continue healing in-between visits by reducing symptoms or reinforcing deficiencies to help you get busy living the life you are here to lead.
Moxibustion Heat Therapy
Moxibustion is a traditional method of applying small amounts of soft-focused heat by the burning of herbs above, close to or directly on the skin in order to obtain an immunological and neurological response by the body either locally or systemically. Moxibustion is an extremely effective form of therapy when used correctly can be used to help with needle therapies or as its own therapy. Moxibustion can be used to treat chronic disease states, but because it’s strong, moves blood and decreases inflammation naturally, it is one of the best forms of medicine for acute soft tissue injuries and acute sports or musculo-skeletal injuries.
Exercise Therapy and Personal Training
Qi Health’s exercise therapy and personal training is a holistic long term approach combining modern western exercise therapy with Chinese exercise therapy to give you a truly complimentary approach to physical rejuvenation and injury prevention or rehabilitation. Qi Health exercise therapy values both the fitness and isolated strength of modern exercise science with the natural health of movement, soft strength and the near tension-less flow of Chinese internal exercise to gradually return your mind and body to a state of openness, freedom and pure health.
Tai Chi and Qigong Movement Therapy
Qi Health Tai Chi and Qigong movement therapy is fun and one of the best ways to delete negative patterns of physical tension from our musculo-skeletal system, and learn to build and maintain a body that is structurally and posturally strong, yet soft and relaxed, which moves with efficiency, flow and power. Learning the internal core-centric ‘way’ of moving can help you obtain the well documented and researched physical, mental, emotional and personal development benefits from this rare type of movement.
