Class Styles Taught at Repose Yoga
Restorative Yoga:
Restorative Yoga is a gentle and meditative practice centered on relaxation and stress relief. It uses props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support the body fully in each pose, which is held for extended periods. This allows for deep relaxation of the muscles, a reduction in stress levels, and the promotion of healing and rejuvenation. It's an ideal practice for those looking to unwind and restore their energy.
Hatha Yoga:
Hatha Yoga is a traditional form of yoga that emphasizes physical postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) to align, calm, and strengthen the body. It typically involves holding poses for extended periods to deepen physical and mental awareness, making it an excellent practice for beginners who want to build a strong foundation in yoga.
Vinyasa Yoga:
Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and flowing style of yoga that synchronizes breath with movement. It focuses on smoothly transitioning between poses, often in a sequence known as a "flow." This practice can vary in intensity, from gentle to vigorous, and is designed to build strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health while promoting a meditative state through continuous movement.
