Why Choose Premier Pilates?
We have 2 purpose built studios in Melbourne's Inner north dedicated to pilates, along with a team of 12 expert instructors. Our Osteopaths and Physiotherapists all undergo specialist training in pilates, and we have over 400 satisfied clients every week. Numerous local doctors and Spine Specialists now refer their clients to us. We now also use Real Time Ultrasound - which enables you to visualise your core muscles in action.
Recent Ground breaking research in the cause of back pain has indicated that certain core muscles can actually switch off after injury, pregnancy, or even sitting for long periods (office workers). With RTUS we can actually see whether these core muscles are working correctly to protect you back and support correct posture. RTUS is such an important development in obtaining a strong and healthy back, that we now include it free with every Pilates Introductory Package.
You can read more about Real Time Ultrasound here .
What To Expect From Premier Sports & Spinal Medicine:
1. Initial Pilates Assessment - Your first consultation will involve an assessment of your problem, and development of a Clinical Pilates program tailored specifically for you. This program will consist of a series of exercises to be performed during your clinical pilates sessions .
2. One on One - Your physiotherapist or Clinical Pilates Instructor will then teach you how to perform each exercise correctly and continue to monitor the program's impact on you during subsequent sessions. You will be learning your program under one-on-one supervision to ensure correct technique and best performance of the given exercises.
3 . Small Group Class - Our classes are run by our team of Physiotherapists and Clinical Pilates Instructors
