Welcome to Positively Pregnant!
A divinely inspired opportunity to express your creative potential.
What does it mean to be ‘Positively Pregnant!’?
Being ‘Positively Pregnant!’ is about you thriving whilst growing your baby!
It’s the twinkle in your eyes and the joy in your heart that says, “I’m energised!” “I’m present!” “I’m excited!” “I’m full of life!” “I want this experience to be ALL that it can BE!”
Why do I want to be ‘Positively Pregnant!’?
1. First and foremost, you are a woman who takes care of herself!
You know that when you place yourself as a priority in your own life you are resourcing yourself from the inside out. You are your best support. When you support yourself well, you are in a better position to ask others for the extra support you need, and want, in order to thrive as a woman, and as a mother. When you take excellent care of yourself you are also in a better position to offer healthy levels of support to others.
2. You are your baby’s first home!
Many people spend an enormous amount of time and energy preparing their homes for a new baby, even to the point of running themselves ragged to ‘get it all done’. In reality, the most important home to be preparing is your baby’s first real home, your precious self.
Your baby’s brain begins its development during pregnancy, as early as the first few days after conception. The way your baby’s brain is wired is affected by neurohormones transmitted whilst in the womb. High levels of stress hormone during pregnancy can alter intelligence and personality, and affect your baby’s ability to deal with stress in the future, even into adulthood. In order to support the positive development of your baby it is essential for you to feel loved, nurtured, protected and respected throughout pregnancy and birth. You can be a positive influence on your baby’s capacity to: love and be loved; be calm and content; and feel safe, through your own experiences of being well supported.
What will help me to be ‘Positively Pregnant!’?
1. Having multiple sources of support can help you to be ‘Positively Pregnant!’
No one person can support all of your physical, emotional, informational and spiritual needs. Women are likely to experience better pregnancies when they have multiple sources of support.
2. It is all about YOU!
It’s important for you to know what your needs are, you are unique and so are your needs. You are the only person to live your unique experience and this makes you the best person to speak for your needs. It is all about you!!! When you know what your needs are you are in a much better position to take action to have your needs met.
Pregnancy is a time when we think about being the best we can be, creating the best relationships, the best home. We want the best we can have! We want the best for our babies. We want the best for our families. We want the best for ourselves. We are eager to make improvements. We are ripe for evolving!
