Smoking - habit or addiction?
Smokers get into a ‘habit’ – an act that becomes part of their daily routine. Tobacco has nicotine, which the body craves over time. That is why many smokers need a cigarette almost at regular intervals, to get a certain quantity of nicotine which temporarily feeds that craving. Nicotine remains in the body only for 3-4 days. Without it, the body experiences withdrawal symptoms and cravings. My aim as a clinical therapist, is to guide my clients to address both the cravings and habit. I can assist smokers to change their smoking behaviour, so that they become aware how they can create a change, to shift the temporary withdrawal symptoms.
The ups and downs of body weight
Shifting or losing that extra body weight and maintaining it doesn’t have to be stressful, and exercise doesn’t have to be seen as boring either! Extreme methods are unhealthy and dangerous.

Many people don’t know why they feel unwell unexpectedly, or freeze or block themselves from reacting or responding, if faced with a situation they see as threatening. For those people, certain life situations are very challenging and many find it difficult to leave the house, keep their jobs, or maintain a good quality of life.
