Who is Perth Psychologists?
Perth Psychologists is multi-location network of counsellors and psychologists. Our mission is to provide individual, relationship and family counselling in Australia. We offer both face to face and telehealth Skype and Zoom sessions.
Our passion is to assist people in enhancing their psychological wellbeing alongside maintaining healthy relationships and family life.

Intake
Each client’s first point of contact when connecting with Perth Psychologists is through one of our Intake process via our 1300 70 50 55 number or by email at mailto:support@perthpsychologists.net.au" >support@perthpsychologists.net.au.
We offer the upmost care and respect for each and every client we engage with to ensure they are connected with most suitable therapist near them. Our psychologists are available between 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Saturday to attend to client enquiries.

Alison MacKenzie
Alison Mackenzie is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has worked in both government and private settings and has provided psychological support to children, adolescents, adults, and groups. Alison values providing people with a safe space to tell their story and support them to explore their feelings, challenges and goals.
Alison has specific training in anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, grief, and personality disorders. She is trained in a range of other counselling methods, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and person-centred interventions. Alison can provide behaviour support plans for children experiencing challenging behaviours and feelings and has training in couples and families to support people to interact in new and more helpful ways.
Martha Farat
Martha is a registered psychologist who has worked in both organizational roles and clinical setting. She mainly sees adults but also can work with adolescents and children. Martha has worked extensively with survivors of trauma and is experienced in working across different cultures. Martha has wide ranging experience in addressing issues such as depression and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, anger management, relationship issues, suicide prevention, settlement, and cultural issues.
Martha is trained in a range of counselling methods, including emotion regulation strategies, relaxation and mindfulness-based, meditation and related contemplative practices and client-centred approaches. Martha is passionate about combining eastern and western science and the goal to promote happiness through the twofold approach of both reducing the impact of negative emotions and enhancing the positive emotions that naturally exist within us. Martha is also fluent in Portuguese.
Lauren Fricker
Lauren is a registered psychologist who has a warm and collaborative style, working alongside her clients to develop goals that focus on wellbeing. Lauren is also an AHPRA approved supervisor and has over a decade of experience working with adolescents, adults, and groups delivering evidence-based interventions. Lauren has supported people with difficulties including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship and social challenges, grief and loss, stress and anger, and trauma.
Lauren is also skilled at working with personality disorders, substance dependency, suicide prevention and domestic abuse. Lauren has been trained in areas such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Schema Based Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Lauren is trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.
James Vlahov
James is a registered psychologist who combines an evidence-based approach with an engaging and conversational approach to working with clients across a broad range of issues. James is experienced at working with difficulties including anxiety, depression; post-traumatic stress disorder; ADHD and/or autism management strategies; personality disorders; obsessive-compulsive disorders; conflict resolution; relationship issues and couples therapy.
James has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Based Therapy, psychoanalysis, and family and couples therapy. James has a strong interest in working with children and teens affected by ADHD and with their families on management strategies to get more out of the school environment.
Erfan Nasheri (Psychologist)
Erfan is a registered psychologist who has worked in both government and private with adolescents, adults and groups. He has over ten years of experience working with clients with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, stress, depression, self-harm, poor self-esteem, relationship or team challenges and psychosomatic issues. Erfan has also worked as a senior manager managing and empowering teams, and values supporting people to make effective health and lifestyle changes to improve their wellbeing.
Erfan is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, Workplace Counselling and Trauma Counselling. He is passionate about working with clients issues in their personal, working and parenting lives and aims to build a strong alliance with clients and, empower them to improve their quality of life and psychological wellbeing.
Sandra Alder (Psychologist)
Sandra Alder is a registered psychologist who has extensive experience in providing counselling to children, adolescents, and adults. Sandra is compassionate, warm, empathetic, and provides a non-judgemental environment for clients. Sandra works with anxiety, stress management, phobias, panic attacks, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, adjustment disorders, emotional regulation, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders.
Sandra uses a range of treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She has implementing individual and family intervention programs for pre-school and school aged children to promote children’s psychological and social development. Sandra values working collaboratively with her clients to assist them in achieving their therapy goals.
Sebastian Lean (Provisional Psychologist) Saturdays
Sebastian Lean brings over a decade of experience in psychological practice, focusing on a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and relationship challenges. He also has a specialty in anxiety-induced gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS and IBD and offers support for bariatric surgery patients including pre-operative assessments and post-operative psychological care.
Sebastian utilises evidence-based methods tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. His professional training includes Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute, and Clinical Hypnosis from the Milton Erickson Foundation. He is also qualified as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher through the University of Massachusetts Medical School. As a provisional psychologist completing registration, Sebastian isn't eligible for Medicare/private health rebates, so his session fee is lower than registered psychologists.
Mairead Healy TELEHEALTH (Psychologist)
Mairead Healy is an experienced psychologist with 25 year’s experience, currently only working with adults. Mairead has extensive experience working with individuals with a range of concerns including anxiety and depression, and with couples seeking support with relationship difficulties.
Mairead Healy is trained in a range of counselling methods including cognitive-behavioural therapy (working with negative thoughts), Mindfulness (Relaxation training), and has specifically trained in Core Process Therapy, which assists clients to work with difficult emotions, and Imago Therapy, which seeks to build stronger relationships and foster individual growth and change.

Amber Ferrier (Psychologist)
Amber Ferrier is a highly skilled registered psychologist, with experience in providing counselling and support to adults. She has worked with diverse groups which has allowed her to work with people from all different cultural and economic backgrounds. Amber can work with anxiety, stress, depression, poor self-esteem, and relationship challenges. She also has experience in counselling individuals with complex backgrounds, a history of trauma, and diverse gender identities.
Amber’s approach is collaborative and client-centred, and she offers a safe and non-judgemental space to address her clients' concerns. She has used a range of treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). Amber’s treatment method is to use best-practice, evidence-based methods and work collaboratively with her clients to offer a service that creates practical change.
Jodie Holwill (Psychologist)
Jodie is a psychologist with over 30 years’ experience and sees adults and couples. Jodie works with clients dealing with anxiety, stress and depression, grief and loss, work related challenges, trauma, intimacy and relationships. Her style is warm and practical, and she values addressing issues quickly by providing her clients with the skills to move forward, as well as dealing with any underlying issues.
Depending on the client’s needs, she can use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprograming (EMDR), and relaxation techniques. Jodie’s has a background in Organisational Psychology so can also offer clients from the business sector support in issues like work performance, career transition and working with others.
