Myofascial Dry Needling is a soft tissue therapy using fine Acupuncture needles inserted into myofascial trigger points within the muscles.

Myofascial trigger points are local areas of spasm within the muscles (“knots”) and can cause for both local and referred pain.

Dry Needling is relatively painless - the needles are very fine and nowhere near the size of the needles used for vaccination and often can reduce pain levels in these trigger points almost instantly. Dry needling is a useful adjunct to other forms of care including chiropractic and massage, particularly in cases of chronic (long-term) pain.

Perth Chiro Centre’s expert chiropractors are all trained and qualified to practice dry needling. We use Dry Needling as an adjunct to Chiropractic or in some cases as a stand-alone treatment, depending on the patient’s needs.
